Troy`s reflection of term 1 so far

What I found found interesting was our puzzle art cause you blend colours and every colour has to have a reason for it. 

What was really challenging for me was brain teasers cause it was testing  your growth mindset.  



I am looking forward to doing cross country and signing up for basketball cause I love running and shooting hoops 

End of term 2 Reflection

I really enjoyed going to the museum and looking at some of Zena Elliot`s artwork and trying to make own piece of art.

I found art really challenging because I can`t draw flowers and I can`t paint that well.

I found math really hard because I did not know what a box and whisker was. I found out about more artist        

fitness

fitness circuits and skipping and cross country training

we exercise because we want to get fit and strong and also have a lot of fun
My favourite exercise is cross country training because I am really fast. My record of laps around the field is  12 .
The trickiest exercise is skipping because I can not jump over the rope

Monster Gary

Hi my name is Gary and I adore science maths and reading. I want to be an inventor so I can create a moon gravity car. Some people think I`m a big fat nerd. They say my teeth look like yellow rocks that have been fragmented ever since I was born. I know all about rocks because my class visited the waitomo  caves recently. if I can`t make a moon gravity car I want to be a rock and gem geologist who will travel around the world discovering precious new stones

River Walk

 Room 8 went on a river walk around the mighty Waikato river.

The first bridge we looked at was the Victoria bridge. It has an arch and is made of steel it carries vehicles and pedestrians

we stopped and sketched it.

the second bridge we looked at was the Claudland bridge. It has no arch and it is made of concrete.

this is the Claudland bridge close. It has strong  triangular arms called trusses.

                                                              

this is the last bridge we looked at. It is the  Fairfield bridge. It has tied arches. It is also made of concrete

 We  had finally finished the walk but we were so tired

 This is my first time going down a snow slide. It is  so much fun!  Why is everyone running away from me?  Don't they want to ride on my back? The slide is over.  I want to go again and again and AGAIN!
